Description

Hilec 930 is a lightweight, braided monofilament sleeving of Halar E-CTFE which offers high temperature and flame resistant properties in addition to excellent abrasion and cut-through resistance and superior inertness to most chemicals and fungus. Its easy pullover application makes Hilec 930 easier to use than heat shrink tubing, zipper tubing or spiral wrap protection. Hilec 930 is available in a wide range of sizes for protecting wire bundles and harnesses ranging from 1/8" through 3 ¾" O.D.

Recomended Use

Hilec 930 is recommended for use over wires, tubing, cables, wire bundles, wire harnesses, and pneumatic hoses to provide tough, durable protection and convenient, low profile bundling of bulky, multiple elements. Its high temperature, chemical inert, non-burning characteristics render HILEC 930 particularly suitable for military, automotive, and aerospace applications where flammability and chemical exposure are critical issues.

Features

• Hilec 930 is rated for continuous service from -70°C through 150°C. and will tolerate short-term exposure up to 230°C.

• Hilec 930 will not support combustion and has an oxygen index of .48.

• Hilec 930 stretches and contracts to accommodate irregular shapes and sizes. A single sleeve size can stretch to encase bundles with diameters up to three times its own I.D.

• Hilec 930 contracts to a snug fit producing a compact bundle with a smooth resilient cover, which prevents snagging during installation in cabinets and equipment.

• Hilec 930 can be flexed repeatedly without losing its physical properties. Its open braid construction affords ventilation, preventing trapping of heat or moisture.

• Hilec 930 is naturally slick allowing it to slide easily and quickly over end fittings and connectors, reducing labor cost. Bundled elements move freely within the sleeve reducing strain

• Hilec 930 resists chafing, abrasion, cut-through, flex-fatigue, and heat degradation.

Availability

Hilec 930 is available in black or white with a contrasting color tracer. A range of other colors is available subject to minimum order quantities.
